Theresa L. Gates

ROYALSTON - Theresa L. Gates, 61, of Royalston, died peacefully at her residence Monday afternoon, May 2, 2022, with her family at her side.

She was born in Athol on July 26, 1960, daughter of the late William R. and Rita L. (Dunham) Gates and grew up in Royalston.  Theresa was a graduate of Athol High School.

Theresa had worked in quality control at ITW, formerly TRW of Westminster until her retirement.  She greatly enjoyed working in her flower gardens and especially treasured time with her family.

She leaves four children, Amanda Sylvester of Ayer, Robert Sylvester of Royalston, Joshua Sylvester of Gardner and Jacob Sweeney of Gardner; two sisters, Tamatha E. Gates of Royalston and Tanya Moore of Royalston and six grandchildren, Joshua Matakanski, Sean Matakanski, Aiden Manca, Isabelle Matakanski, Sophia Sweeney and Payton Milo.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Royalston Fish and Gun Club at a later date.
