Rosalie Lemmon

November 7, 1936 — March 26, 2022

FRAMINGHAM - Rosalie Lemmon, 85, died peacefully on Saturday March 26, 2022 in Winchendon, MA surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Newark NJ, on November 7, 1936, daughter of Domenic and Candida (Martello) Rigante. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Roy D. Lemmon and wife Kim, James L. Lemmon Jr. and wife Corinne Nye, Robert B. Lemmon and wife Michelle Fay, Leslie J. (Lemmon) Cella and husband Paul and her long-time companion Robert Rix.  She is also survived by her sixteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and Robert Rix's family whom she considered her own. She lost her daughter Cynthia C. (Lemmon) Stevenson in November 2017 and her late husband James L. Lemmon in September 1991.

Rosalie had been a resident of Framingham for the past 67 years and often wintered in Cocoa Beach, FL where she loved to spend time with her immediate and extended family. Her favorite things to do were swimming in the ocean, which she felt could heal any problem, and going to the Moose for dancing and dinner.  She also spent much of her time in Winchendon, MA with her companion Robert Rix. They loved to take boat rides on the lake, host parties and spend quality time with their children, grandchildren and friends.  She was a generous, caring soul and deeply loved family and friends.  Rosalie worked many years as an office manager at New England Money which although it was work, she thoroughly enjoyed.  The only reason she retired was so that she could take care of her mother at the end of her life. She also loved to travel and cruise and did so as often as she could right up until the end of her life.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 10:30 A.M at the Cathedral of the Pines, which was one of her favorite places to visit, 10 Hale Road, Rindge, NH.  A reception will follow at Hidden Hills Estates, 18 Lisa Dr., Rindge, NH.
