Robin J. Sweeney

GRANVILLE, NY - Robin J. Sweeney, 64, of Granville, NY, formerly of Winchendon, Gardner and Greenfield, died Monday, February 5, 2018 in Glens Fall Hospital, Glens Falls, NY.

She was born in Winchendon on  June 12, 1953, daughter of the late Ronald and Mary (Minckler) Sweeney.  Robin was raised in Winchendon and lived most of her life in Gardner and Greenfield.  She moved to live in Glens Falls, NY three years ago.

Robin had worked as a home health aide at Arbors Assisted Living in Greenfield and had also worked at other area nursing homes.  She had also worked in the kitchen at the Historic Deerfield Inn.  Robin  enjoyed playing bingo, reading search word puzzles and playing cards.  She was a fan of country music and enjoyed listening to the Oldies.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren.

She leaves two daughters, Mary Gardner of Granville, NY and Grace Turner of Greenfield; two brothers, Lincoln Sweeney of AZ and Ronald Sweeney Jr of Royalston, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Vanessa Sweeney, Joyce Fitch, Dorothy Sweeney and Grace Sweeney; a brother, Wayne Sweeney and a granddaughter, Ashlen Turner.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.

A calling hour will precede the funeral Saturday from 1 to 2 P.M.
