Paul W. Dias

ROYALSTON – Paul W. Dias, 78, of 53 Bliss Hill Road, died peacefully Tuesday evening, December 18, 2018 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.

He was born in Boston on February 6, 1940, son of the late Manuel and Adelaide (Pershake) Dias and grew up in Somerville.  Paul and his wife lived in Royalston for the last twelve years after living in Rindge and Billerica.

Paul worked or Local #25 Teamsters Union as a truck driver for several different trucking companies.  He had also worked for the Massachusetts Highway Department.  Paul had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Frances (Tobin) Dias; three sons, Brian Dias and his significant other, Paula Gonynor of Winchendon, William P. Dias of Gardner and Paul W. Dias Jr and his wife Sandra of Shalimar, Florida; three grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two nieces.  A sister, Joan Douglas, predeceased him.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 5 to 7 P.M.

Burial will be in Stewart Maple Cemetery, Royalston in the spring.
