WINCHENDON – Jean E. (Wells) Lee, 87, of 61 Hyde Park Drive, died peacefully Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville.

She was born in Stevensville, PA on October 8, 1928, daughter of the late Lee and Mabel (Morningstar) Wells and lived in Winchendon for many years.

Jean worked as a finisher at the former Nichols and Stone Furniture Company until her retirement at age 62.  She previously worked at Barre Wool in So. Barre, MA.  She was a member of Hyde Park Tenants Council and enjoyed reading and making puzzles.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Her husband, Paul Lee, died in 1992.  She leaves six children, Harry “Skip” Kinner Jr and his wife Elaine of Winchendon, Larry D. Kinner and his wife Pamela of Old Orchard Beach, ME, William L. Kinner and his wife Margrete of Winchendon,  Allan L. Barrows and his wife Sharon of Canton, GA, Danial G. McLean of Winchendon and Connie R. Zelnia and her husband James of Brookfield, MA; one brother, William Wells of New Albany, PA; one sister, Shirley Barnett of New Era, PA; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  A daughter, Patsy Jean, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, October 10, 2016 from 5 to 7 P.M..
