Harry "Skip" Kinner

September 1, 1948 — June 9, 2020

WINCHENDON – Harry “Skip” Kinner, 71, of 41 Joslin Road, died peacefully at home Tuesday morning, June 9, 2020, with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Sayre, PA on September 1, 1948, son of the late Harry L. Kinner and Jean E. (Wells) Lee.  Skip spent his early years in Pennsylvania and then his family moved South Barre when he was twelve.  During his high school years, his family moved to Winchendon, where he lived the rest of his life.

Skip proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1968 to 1974.  In 1988, he started Kinner’s Auto Body, which he owned and operated for many years until his retirement in 2005.  He was a member of Artisan Lodge of Masons and Eugene M. Connor Post #193.  He loved hunting, fishing, cars and going to Foxwoods. His greatest enjoyment and love was spending time with his family.

He leaves his wife of 50 years, Elaine D. (Richard) Kinner; three daughters, Crystal J. Robertson and her husband George Darrin Robertson of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Melissa L. Fortunato of Winchendon and Trisha L. Race and her significant other Joseph Boisvert of Winchendon; brothers and sisters, Connie R. Zelnia and her husband James of No. Palm Beach, FL, Larry D. Kinner and his wife Pamela of Old Orchard Beach, ME, William L. Kinner and his wife Margrete of Winchendon, Allan L. Barrows and his wife Sharon of Canton, GA, Danial G. McLean of Winchendon; a half-brother Ricky Kinner and a half-sister Karen Morehead, both of PA; eight grandchildren, Katlin and significant other Garrett, Joseph, Mariah, Max, Jayla, Andrew, Sophia and Rebekah; two great grandsons Ryen and Ryder and many nieces and nephews.  A sister, Patsy Jean, predeceased him.

Private graveside services will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon.
