Genevieve L. DiFava

October 24, 2013 — March 21, 2021

WINCHENDON - Genevieve L. DiFava lived a beautifully full and tenacious seven and a half years of happiness, laughter and profound meaning. Her beautiful Purple Heart loved with the fierceness of a warrior and the gentleness of a feather.

Genny was deeply loved and the greatest of all gifts to her father and mother Matthew and Caitlin DiFava of Winchendon, MA.  She shared an inseparable connection and friendship with her twin sister and best friend, Giuliana DiFava.  She was the beloved granddaughter of Alan and Laurie Hallquist of Winchendon, MA and Michael and Marie DiFava of Reading, MA.  Genny had the greatest pen pal and sweetest friendship in her great-grandfather Cesare DiFava of Cambridge, MA. She had the joy of many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She adored her sweet pets Haleigh, Notty and Lilac. Genny loved her sweetest friend and playmate Sophie Tyros and she held the hand and the heart of her dear Emmit Roux.

She loved playing piano, putting on shows, telling jokes, going on adventures, solving mysteries, all things mischievous and everything spooky. She was blessed to be cared for by the most incredible people of Boston Children’s Hospital who will forever hold the highest honor of being christened a “Peggy”.  In seven and a half years of living, she taught so many the purpose of life and was a gift to whomever had the luck of meeting her.

Genny will be eternally celebrated and her joy for life will be forever carried in the hearts of all who loved her.
