Winston G. Neale

SOUTH ROYALSTON - Winston G. Neale, 92, of 7 New Boston Road, died Sunday evening, August 28th in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville. He was born in South Royalston on August 17,1913, the son of Alfred and Bertha (Fremeran) Neale and was a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Neale worked in the Birch Hill Wildlife Management Area for the State of Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Games for many years until his retirement at the age of 70. Previously, he was a self-employed farmer for many years. He was educated in Royalston schools. He attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church and was a member of the Otter River Rod and Gun Club. His passions were growing apples and gardening. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Irene (Gagne) Neale; a son, Duane A. Neale and his wife, Joyce Neale of South Royalston; two grandchildren, Todd Neale and Patricia Cummings and three great-grandchildren, Curtis Neale, Daniel Cummings and Hannah Cummings. Two brothers, Wesley Neale and William Neale predeceased him. Calling hours will be held from 6-8 P.M. Friday, September 2nd in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.
