William Anthony Hornak

William Anthony Hornak was born on August 25, 1956, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and passed away on October 12, 2025, while residing in Winchendon, Massachusetts. During his life, William devoted his time and energy to the things he loved most: his family, his three dogs, Benedict, Mufasa, and Moana, and his passion for his work. As a diligent Meat Manager in a grocery store, William took great pride in his meat cutting skills, which were admired by many.

In his free time, William found joy in working as a gardener and being a farmer. He was largely a homebody who found comfort and peace in the familiarity of his surroundings.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheryl Hornak, his son Nicholas Hornak, his step-daughter Erica Mazaika, and his step-son Kenneth Mazaika and wife Natalie. Also, his siblings, Susan Soucy, Patricia Fazekas, Mary Magrane and husband Gregory, Anne Ljungquist and husband Alan, Peter Hornak, David Hornak and wife Patricia. Anthony Hornak and wife Heather and lots of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Michael Hornak, his parents, Stephen and Eva Hornak, and by two brothers, Stephen and Robert.

William's life will be commemorated at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon, MA. The calling hour will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm in the funeral home
