Templeton

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Wayne A. Launier on April 29, 2024, after a long battle with diabetes since 2019,  He was born in Winchendon, on October 25, 1947. A proud resident of Templeton, Massachusetts, Wayne was a beloved figure in his community, known for his kind heart and generous spirit. He was a devoted father and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Wayne's love for the outdoors was evident in his passions: as an avid motorcyclist, hunter, and deep-sea fisherman, he found the greatest joy in the beauty of nature.

Wayne was a dedicated professional, having spent his career as a highly respected meat cutter at several grocery stores, a talent he learned from his father. He worked for Donelan's in Littleton, the Gardner Co-Op, IGA, Food Farm, and Big D. His work ethic, commitment, and expertise in his craft were unmatched. A graduate of Murdock High School, Class of 1965, he was an integral part of his community. He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard After living in Winchendon all his life, Wayne moved to Baldwinville in 1997, where he continued to contribute his skills and passion to his community. He helped several people get their social security benefits.

Wayne also loved to garden, he grew amazing tomato plants and other vegetables.
He was known by his neighbors as the Tomato King. Wayne was an avid Bruins fan, his favorite player was Terry O'Riely.

Wayne is survived by his loving son, William A. Launier; a sister, Lyndale Spencer. He is predeceased by his father, William C. Launier, his mother, Gloria Dunchus, and his cherished wife of 23 years, Joanne Roby. Wayne's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for life will continue to inspire all who knew him.
