Toni K. Gilbert

WINCHENDON – Toni K. (Lafrennie) Gilbert, 78, of 63 Hyde Park Drive, died peacefully Monday, March 1, 2021 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, with her family at her side.

A lifelong resident of Winchendon, Toni was born on January 23, 1943, daughter of the late Allen J. and Irene H. (Deshan) Lafrennie.  She was a graduate of Murdock High School with the class of 1961.

Toni worked as a sander at Salooms Furniture and previously had worked at Bards and New Hampshire Ball Bearing.  She enjoyed reading and the company of her cats.  Toni was a member of Silver Sneakers and Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Ladies Auxiliary.

Her husband of 54 years, Arthur J. “Buddy” Gilbert, died in 2016 and a son, Scott J. Gilbert, died in 2018.  She leaves a son, J. Michael Gilbert of Gardner; a brother, Allen J. Lafrennie III of Winchendon; a sister, Nadyne Perkins of Winchendon; a granddaughter, Kerry Hall, as well as nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and son, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Karkane and a brother, Dean Lafrennie.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11 A.M. in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
