It is with profound respect and admiration that we share the passing of Stephen L. Beltzer, who was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Born in Waltham, MA on December 22, 1936.
His love for life and his unwavering dedication to his family were the cornerstones of his existence, and it is these attributes that we remember most vividly. Stephen spent much of his career as a Quality Engineer for AMP INC in Harrisburg, PA; and for Polaroid in Waltham a role he filled with dedication, integrity, and an unfaltering commitment to excellence. Stephen was also amazing in the work of carpentry, building many things for his family and running a painting and wallpaper business with his late friend Jim Kelley.
Stephen was an avid fan of the Red Sox, his passion for his team being almost as fierce as his love for crossword puzzles. He had a remarkable ability to find joy in the simplest moments, an attribute that made him a beacon of positivity even in the most challenging times. In addition to his professional accomplishments and his hobbies, Stephen’s greatest achievement was undoubtedly the family he cherished and nurtured.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Beltzer; his children, Matthew, and Lorren Grammont; Stephen Jr., Michael, Debbie Smith, Karen Gallagher, from his previous marriage to the late Sylvia Bari; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. two sisters, Shelia Weyant and Aleta Beltzer, and one brother Michael Beltzer, and his legacy lives on through them. Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Beltzer, mother, Irene Beltzer, his son Robert, two brothers, Frederick Jr. and Charles, and sister, Linda Beltzer. Each of these individuals played a significant role in shaping the man that Stephen became and they will forever remain in his heart.
