Winchendon- Shirley Evelyn (Rochon) Allia, 69, died Saturday, September 17, 2022 at her home with her family at her side.
She was born in Waltham on June 21, 1953, a daughter of the late Harry Palmer and June Rochon. Shirley went to Waltham High School. She worked as a sales associate for Walmart for over 15 years.
Her family and faith were the two most important parts of her life. She enjoyed crocheting, doing crafts, Elvis and playing Farmville on Facebook. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
She leaves her husband, Joseph Allia, Jr. of Winchendon; two daughters, Angela LeBlanc of Ware and Amanda Allia and her fiancé Scott Belanger of Orange; one son, Joseph Allia, III of Winchendon; three grandchildren, Melissa (Munchkin) Baker and her husband Joshua Baker of Athol, Andrew LeBlanc of Athol and Oliver Allia of Orange; one great-granddaughter Melanie Munson of Athol; one brother, Scott Rochon of Austin, TX; two sisters, Robin Robinson of Austin, TX and Gloria Smith of MA; a close friend, Susan Fisher of Gardner.
Shirley will have a funeral at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville, MA 01436 at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
Calling hours will be on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
