Shawn M. McDermott

WINCHENDON - Shawn M. McDermott, 29, of 48 Glenallen Street, passed away Friday evening, February 16, 2018 in UMASS Memorial Hospital, Memorial Campus, Worcester following a short illness.

He was born in Lowell, MA on October 12, 1988, son of Michael and Robin (Ferreira) McDermott of Winchendon and grew up in Winchendon.

Shawn was employed as a roofer for United Roofing.  While growing up, he had played little league and senior league baseball.  He was an avid football fan.

In addition to his parents, he leaves  his wife, Carissa (Anderson) McDermott; three children, Mya McDermott, Zaden McDermott and Kyden McDermott;  his brother and sisters, Derek Sutton and his wife Jessica of Templeton, Tricia Rapp of Mount Juliet, TN, Kim Fortune and her husband Nick of Fitchburg and Michelle Rose of Winchendon; his grandparents, James and Patricia Ferreira of Tewksbury and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 3 to 5 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.
