Rosalie Anne Tallman

February 13, 1940 — June 11, 2026

Winchendon

Rosalie Anne Tallman, affectionately known as Gram or Geya, was born on February 13, 1940, in South Gardner, Massachusetts, and graced this world with her compassionate, dedicated, and loving presence for 86 years. Rosalie was a beacon of generosity, a trait that was reflected in every aspect of her life, from her work to her personal relationships. As a meticulous bookkeeper in the field of accounting, she offered her services with unyielding dedication. She always had time for her favorite pastimes: family gatherings, crosswords, game shows, and, most importantly, attending every event for her beloved grandchildren. You would often see Rosalie with a cup of coffee and her phone in her hands.

Rosalie was a pillar of the Phillipston community, particularly within the Phillipston Congregational Church, where she enthusiastically participated in various activities. Her joy was palpable when she worked the rummage sale at the Phillipston Bazaar. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she lived by the words of Proverbs 31:25-26, "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue." Rosalie was a living testament to these verses, radiating strength, dignity, and wisdom in everything she undertook.

Rosalie leaves a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her husband of 63 years, Gordon Tallman; her children, Tammy Sarnelli (Rick), Tina Tallman, Todd (Julie), and Tracy Tallman; her grandchildren (often called her baseball team), Tashonn (Kyleigh), Nick (Sarah), Tavonte (Jill), Caroline (Andrew), Michael (Katherine), Samantha Lescord, Haley (Lulu), Leah (Brevin), and Isaac Aviles; great-grandchildren, Gianna Tallman, Jaydon Tallman, Memphis Poole, and Zaire Tallman; and her brother, David Eaton as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Geraldine Eaton; and siblings, Everett, Roger, Kenneth, Doug, Richard, Robert Eaton, Helen Babcock, and Marguerite Eaton.

As we remember Rosalie, we encourage you to share your fond memories and upload photos to her memorial page, celebrating the wonderful life she lived. It is a testament to her beautiful heart and soul that she will live on, not just in our memories, but also through the love she cultivated within her family and community.

There will be a calling hour in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475, from 11:00 - 12 Noon on Saturday, June 20, 2026, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home. Her burial will follow in the Greenbower Cemetery, Gardner, MA.
