Robert Louis Paradise, born on December 2, 1945, in Winchendon, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026.
Throughout his life, Robert was known for his hard work and dedication, both to his profession and his family. He proudly served as a Boiler Fireman for Temple Stuart Manufacturing for many years, demonstrating an unparalleled work ethic and commitment to his craft. Before that, he worked at Pratt & Whitney for two and a half years after graduating from trade school.
Robert left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.In his spare time, Robert was an avid fisherman and cribbage player. He had a keen appreciation for the tranquility of preparing wood for the winter, a task he performed with precision and care. His love for music was apparent to all, particularly for Johnny Cash and country music. He also enjoyed watching wrestling, a pastime that brought him much joy. Despite his many hobbies and interests,
Robert's greatest passion was his family, whom he loved dearly and always put first.Robert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gail Paradise; his son, Michael Paradise and his wife Jenna; his grandchildren, Rebeckah, Victoria, and Vincent Paradise; and his sisters, Patti Conway and her husband Michael, and Linda Bevan and her husband James, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Oliver L. Paradise, his mother Isabelle Dunchus Paradise Peterson and his stepfather Howard E. Peterson, and his mother-in-law Jeannette Marquis Roy.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon, MA, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the same location on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by the burial at Calvary Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to either the Winchendon Council on Aging or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
