Robert A. LaPointe, 59, died peacefully Wednesday, June 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. 

He lived a good, kind, and fun life hunting, fishing, and enjoying New England Patriots games and teasing his daughters, Stacey and Jennifer, Granddaughter Ryleigh, and his stepchildren Craig, Korlice, and Kayleigh. 

He was an avid fan of New England sports and the New York Yankees as well as his beloved Boston Red Sox. Robert was born on November 28, 1966, the son of Linwood and Janet (Mitchell) LaPointe. 

Robert is predeceased by his daughters Stacey and Jennifer, brother Scott (Poncho), Father Linwood (Joe Pete), and stepfather Leroy Campbell. 

Robert leaves his mother, Janet; brother Linwood; his partner, Rosa Braga; his sister Kim; his granddaughter Ryleigh; stepchildren Craig, Korlice, and Kayleigh (Kay) Kingsley; along with his nephews Nicholas LaPointe, Jeremy LaPointe, his wife Shauna, Keith LaPointe, and his wife Caitlin. He also leaves behind many great-nieces and nephews. 

Robert worked for the Massachusetts Dept of Developmental Services and loved his co-workers and the individuals whom he served. He took his job very seriously and had immense passion for caring for the individuals he cared for and supported. Robert had a special interest in helping individuals who needed him. He was also a graduate of Montachusett Regional High and the University of Phoenix. 

Calling hours will be held at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home in Winchendon on Wednesday, June 24, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Winchendon.
