Robert Walfred Deming, 64 of Winchendon,  MA,  passed away Sunday night, December 10th 2023, peacefully at home in his bed, seven days before his 65th birthday.
Bob as he was known by most of his family and friends was born December 17th, 1958 at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg MA. He was the beloved son of his predeceased parents, his father William Joseph Deming Jr and mother Joan Mary Gustafson Deming of Lunenburg, and brother Tom Deming of Lunenburg.  He leaves his two sisters, Kathy Moore of Lunenburg, MA, and Pam Vincent of Wilton, NY, and his brother Bill Deming of Leicester, MA. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many lifelong friends.
Bob was raised and lived in Lunenburg, MA and then in Leominster, Ma, before buying his own home in Winchendon, MA, and has lived there for the past 20 years. Bob attended and graduated  High School, from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical in Fitchburg MA, where he studied automotive repair. Bob loved classic automobiles, working on cars and also loved rock and roll. He enjoyed the outdoors, and loved fishing, hiking, bike riding, and enjoyed family vacations at Myrtle Beach and Lake Champlain and camping in many different areas.
Bob was a very active member for the past 30 years in local AA groups across the area including Ashby, Fitchburg, Gardner, Leominster, Lunenburg, and Winchendon. He was very proud of his sobriety and enjoyed all of his friends that he grew to know from his many group meetings that he attended daily. He sponsored a number of people in AA and was a great influence on many people.
Bob always said, if people wanted to see him and talk with him, they should do so when he was alive. There will be no calling hours or funeral service and burial will be in the North Cemetery, in Lunenburg MA, at the convenience of the family. If you wish to make a donation in his memory, please donate to your local AA group.
