Gardner—Peter George Griffis, 8/18/1982 - 12/17/2022
A Marine Veteran, Peter earned the rank of Lance Corporal and served as a clerk at Camp Pendleton. He was a former employee of PFE Rolls, achieved his CDL license, and was looking forward to getting his motorcycle license.
Pete was a bit of a daredevil (understatement), enjoyed breakdancing in his youth, loved the outdoors, watching movies, playing cards, and chess. He even had a bit of a green thumb, sharing his harvest with many people.
He is survived by his parents Gregory and Theresa, four siblings Joshua, Mary, Danielle, and Gabrielle, one sister-in-law Tricia, three brothers-in-laws Leon Weinman, Joseph Hardie, and Corey Farrenkopf, four nieces Ella, Evelyn, Catherine, and Eloise, four nephews Noah, Samuel, Ransom and Lucian, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His extended family included a number of childhood friends, particularly John Maillet (and his mother and father whom Peter loved), Michael Cote and his children, The Worthley’s, and so many others, including those he made in adulthood, neighbors, and fellow veterans.
He was generous to the people around him. We are devastated by his passing.
Godspeed Pete, Rest in Peace. You'll be vibin' in those JENKO jeans in our hearts forever.
