WINCHENDON - Paul F. Laperriere, 84, of 456 Maple Street, died early Monday, November 21st in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following an illness. He was born in Winchendon on December 22,1921, the son of Frederick O. and Isabelle (Martin) Laperriere and resided in Winchendon for most of his life. He spent his early childhood in Dover, N.H. Paul was a graduate of Dover, N.H. High School and attended Fitchburg State College and Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School. He was a carpenter, employed at Bergeron Construction Company in Keene, N.H. before his retirement. Paul was an Army veteran of World War Two, serving in Normandy, the Rhineland and Central Europe. He was a life member of the Eugene M. Connor Post #193 American Legion and the Lt. Frederick Wilder White Post #2158 Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Winchendon. He was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Baldwinville. Paul leaves his wife of 63 years, Elia M. (Uguccioni) Laperriere of Winchendon; three sons, Paul F. Laperriere, Jr. of Derry, N.H., Ronald J. Laperriere of Milville, N.J. and Ricky P. Laperriere and his wife Tina of Winchendon; a daughter, Cynthia A. Piascik and her husband, Jim of Gardner; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26th from the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forrest Street, Baldwinville. A committal service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, November 28th in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Friday, November 25th from 6-8 P.M. with a Legion Ritual at 7:30 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary School, 89 Nichols Street or to the Montachusett Veterans Outreach Center, 268 Central Street, both in Gardner, MA. 01440. www.snow-ladeau.com
