Nelson G. Raymond

RINDGE, NH - Nelson G. Raymond, 77, of 2234 2nd Street SW, Vero Beach, Florida and Rindge, N.H., died Thursday, November 10th in Elliot Hospital, Manchester, N.H. following an illness. He was born in Winchendon, MA. on January 1,1928, the son of William J. and Mildred L. (Langley) Raymond and had lived in Rindge before moving to Florida 45 years ago. He spent his summers in Rindge. Nelson was a machinist at Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach before his retirement in 1989. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War 2 serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the American Legion and Loyal Order of the Moose, both in Vero Beach. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Marjorie L. (Goddard) Raymond of Vero Beach and formerly of Rindge; a daughter, Toni R. Benjamin of Argyle, TX; two grandsons, Eric Benjamin and Chris Benjamin and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16th at 1:30 P.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. James Melhorn, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Rindge, will officiate. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Rindge.
