. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of love, determination, and service, which she demonstrated through her work as a crossing guard for the City of Boston, safeguarding children for over two decades, and her dedicated service to the Boston Police Department.
Muriel was a woman of many talents and achievements, having worked for District Attorney Newman Flanagan and Chris Ionella, she was a symbol of strength and resilience. Muriel was a dedicated mother, an unwavering pillar of support, and a beacon of love and dedication to her family. Her love for her family was the centrifugal force that kept her going, a testament to her unwavering dedication and commitment. Muriel's life was one steeped in the values of love, hard work, and dedication, and she will forever be remembered for her warm heart and caring nature.
Muriel is survived by her children Linda Green, Frank (Marie) McKinnon, and Bruce (Lois) Reed. She was fortunate enough to watch grow and enjoy 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Garnett, her husband John Galvin, her daughter Ida Mckinnon, and 2 great grandsons Carter Veilleux and Augostino Ravesi as well as her siblings Charles, James, Madolyn, Millie, and Helen.
Muriel's life will be celebrated at the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 pm. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 10:00 am, in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, followed by burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, 01475, at 11:00 am.
