Mary D. (McIntire) Ball

WINCHENDON - Mary D. (McIntire) Ball, 84, of 4 Bruce Road, died unexpectantly on Friday, November 4th in her residence. She was born in Berlin, NH on September 28,1921, the daughter of Howard M. and Helen McIntire, and had resided in Winchendon for 57 years. Mary was a secretary at the Winchendon CAC before her retirement. She was once employed at the Woodbound Inn in Rindge, NH and the former Toy Town Tavern in Winchendon. Her husband of 41 years, Freeman Ball, died in 1986. Mary leaves three sons, Charles McLain of California, Douglas E. Ball of Gardner and Wesley W. Ball of New Hampshire; three daughters, Ann Burt of Lancaster, NH, Carrie M. Cutting and Clarice M. Monette, both of Winchendon; a brother, Robert McIntire of Statan Island, NY; a sister, Florence Channing of Rhinelander, WI; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers. A graveside service was held Tuesday, November 8th in Riverside Cemetery. Sister Anne O'Shea and Sister Pauline Grenier of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, officiated.
