Mark E. Noël

BALDWINVILLE - Mark E. Noël, 72, of Baldwinville, died Saturday, May 7, 2022 at his residence, with his family at his side.

He was born in Gardner on January 26, 1950, son of the late Peter Joseph and Yvonne Irene (Boisse) Noël and grew up on Spring Street in Winchendon and in 1978 moved to East Templeton. He was an active member of Holy Cross Church even after moving to Baldwinville in 1987. He was a lector there, sang in the church choir for over 17 years, and assisted with many Church and Sodality events.

He and his wife, Gail loved dancing, and graduated from the Two Hearts as One Square Dance Club in Gardner. They went to Square Dance Camp n Dance weekends with friends in Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Maine. They celebrated their 25th anniversary in Ireland. With friends Dick and Lynn Roux, they vacationed in Pennsylvania, Cape Cod, Montreal, Nova Scotia, and Cape Breton as well as cruised to Alaska and the Carribean.

Mark spent almost forty years in furniture manufacturing, working for George Bent, Heywood Wakefield, Temple Stuart and Nichols and Stone. In retirement, he enjoyed working the front desk on weekends at Mount Fitness.

He leaves his wife of 45 years, Gail Larise (Cloutier) Noël. He also leaves one brother Paul M Noël and his wife Susan of Winchendon. his sister in law, Mary Noël of Prince Edward Island, nieces and nephews, Holly Carruthers and her husband Sandy, Peter Noël, Christine Noël, David Noël and his wife Melonie, all of Canada; Nathan Noël of Bellingham, WA, Mary Goldstrom and husband Antonio of Cibolo, TX, Peter Noël of Winchendon, Crystal Brooks of Gardner, Stacy Matewsky and husband Rob of Ashburnham, Joshua and Jeremiah of Roanoake, VA; grandnieces and nephews, Chloe Noël, Caleb Goldstrum, Colin Cotton, Adam, Rylee and Addison Brooks, Landon and Eli Matewsky, Isabelle and Sophia Noël, Elliot Noël and Liam Breen.  And great grands, Raelynn and Braydon Brooks and Christine Cotton.  He also leaves his brother in law, Bruce Cloutier and his wife Debra, and sisters in law Carla Breen and Mary Noël.

In 2005, Mark & Gail adopted two special families from Holy Cross Church and were honorary uncle and aunt to the Chartier, Scheurer and Krestyn families in Templeton.

In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by two brothers, Peter A Noël and William D Noël.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10 A.M. in Holy Cross Church, Lake Avenue, East Templeton.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville.
