Marguerite S. Miille

June 10, 1937 — April 4, 2024

Leominster

With a profound sense of loss and gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Marguerite Shirley Miille on April 4, 2024. Marguerite, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born in Gardner, MA, on June 10, 1937, and was a long-time resident of Ashburnham, MA. Known for her charismatic spirit and resilient nature, Marguerite lived her life devoted to her family and her faith.

Marguerite was not only a graduate of Fitchburg High School, Class of 1955 but also a recipient of the Medal of Fidelity from the VA as a widow of a Vietnam Veteran. Her creativity shone through in her love for gardening and bird watching, and she spent many cherished hours playing the organ. Marguerite's resilience was evident in her ability to find joy in life, even after the loss of her beloved husband, Ansel Millie. She was a pillar of strength for her family and community, and her love for her church friends and her girls at Rituals was evident to all who knew her.

Marguerite is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Savoie and Roxanne Terhune, five grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Emilienne Belletete, her husband, Ansel Miille, and her daughter, Julie Rochon. In the words of Saint Paul, "Love is patient, love is kind... It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Marguerite's life was an embodiment of these words; she was a beacon of love that illuminated the lives around her.
