TEMPLETON – Margaret L. (Ruffin) “Peggy” Gallo, 82, of Baldwinville, died Thursday evening, April 13, 2023 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, with her family at her side.
She was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on January 1, 1941, daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude (Keefe) Ruffin and had lived in Baldwinville for three years, after living in Rockport for 15 years.
Peggy grew up in Sudbury, MA and had worked several years ago at Sears and Roebuck in sales, most usually in the tool department. She attended St. Vincent de Paul Church and loved to shop, sew and travel. Paris was her favorite destination. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and dog Lulu.
She leaves her husband of 36 years, Joseph A. Gallo; five sons, David Publicover Jr. and partner Nancy of Hopkinton, Kenneth Publicover and wife Paula of Valparaiso, IN, Richard Publicover and wife Kelly of Rochester, NY, Jeffrey Publicover and wife Nancy of Columbia, SC and Andrew Publicover and wife Colleen of Sudbury; two stepchildren, Matthew Gallo of Stoddard, NH and Jill Manousos and husband Charles of Lowell, MA.; two sisters, Judith Swam of Pompano Beach, FL and Stephanie Morris of Williamsport, PA; thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Beverly Ruffin, preceded her in death.
A private memorial mass will be held in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville.
