WINCHENDON - Madeline E. (Doucette) Schofield, 82, of 66 Juniper Street, Winchendon died Tuesday, September 13th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner after being stricken ill at home. She was born in Middleboro on August 27,1923, the daughter of Francis L. Doucette, Sr. and Margaret H. (Anderson) Doucette and had resided in Winchendon for 57 years. Madeline was a graduate of Wilton High School in Wilton, NH with the class of 1942. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and country music. She leaves her husband, Ronald H. Schofield, with whom she would have observed their 48th wedding anniversary on September 21st; two sons, Lawrence J. Doucette, Sr. of Bridgewater and Adam Lavenski of Orange; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Janice M. Bowler of Winchendon in 2001. She was also predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17th at 11 A.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
