Loretta F. LaCasse

FITCHBURG–Loretta F. (Boudreau) LaCasse, 88, of 29 Merriam Parkway, formerly of Orange, died peacefully Sunday afternoon, January 31, 2021 in Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer, with her family at her side.

She was born in Fitchburg on May 29, 1932, daughter of the late Ernest J. and Dorilla (Gingras) Boudreau. She grew up in Fitchburg and spent many years living at various Army Bases around the US and in Japan before returning to Fitchburg. Following her retirement she lived in Orange for many years until returning to Fitchburg last year.

Loretta worked as a clerk in the Continuing Education Office at Mt. Wachusett Community College for a number of years before retiring in 1995. Her favorite past times included square dancing with her late husband, wintering in Florida and camping with family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting, sewing, and creating birthday cakes and wedding cakes for her family members including many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, John V. LaCasse, who died in 2019 and her son Richard W. LeBlanc who died in 1998 as well as her brothers Eugene Boudreau, George Boudreau, Louis Boudreau, Adrian Boudreau and Ernest Boudreau, Jr, her sisters Cecile Lemon, Jeanette Girouard, and Simone Godin.  She leaves her four children, Roger D. LeBlanc and his wife Marianne of Brockton, Joyce Murphy and her husband Daniel of Riviera Beach, FL, Sandra J. Roth and her husband David of Fitchburg and Katherine A. Rock and her husband Rick of Palmer, twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, and a sister, Grace Mathieu.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon.

Masks and social distancing are required..

The Mass will be live streamed and may be viewed on the  Facebook Page of Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, which is handling arrangements..
