In the words of Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Tobia, born on September 19, 1940, in Winchendon. Linda was an extraordinary woman who touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. 

Linda was a woman of great accomplishment and an even greater heart. She served as the Vice President of Customer Service, at the Winchendon Savings Bank for 21 years, and then was the Branch Manager of the Winchendon Branch of Fitchburg Savings Bank for 5 years prior to her retirement. Her professional life was marked by her passion for helping others, a trait that also defined her personal life. She was a beacon of positivity and strength, always encouraging those around her to strive for their best. Linda was an active woman who loved dancing and going to the Clark YMCA to exercise, where her zest for life was as palpable as her love for her community. 

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Roger N. Tobia; her son Jeff Gould; her daughter Lana Crosby, and her husband Greg; her two granddaughters Carson Crosby, and Erin Crosby. She also leaves her brother Steve Vaine; her sister Nancy Toothaker, and several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ovila and Ruth Vaine, and her sisters, Carol Schrawder and Rochelle Doody. Each of these individuals had a special place in Linda's heart and will carry her memory forward with love, laughter, and an enduring sense of her irreplaceable presence.
