TEMPLETON - Ledevino J. "Tony" Antononi, 90, formerly of 17 Winchester Street, Baldwinville, died Sunday morning, December 28th in the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner. He was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada on December 7,1918, the son of the late Giovanni and Antonia (DeAngelis) Antognoni and had lived in Baldwinville for over 50 years. He previously had lived in Winchendon for many years. Tony was a salesman at Mathieu Ford in Winchendon for 28 years until his retirement in 1981. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War Two and was awarded four Overseas Service Bars and the American Theatre Ribbon. Tony was a member of the Otter River Sportsmans Club, Roger P. Warfield Post American Legion in Baldwinville and the Lt. Frederick Wilder White Post 2158 VFW in Winchendon. He was a former member of the Winchendon Kiwanis Club. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Helvi M. (Mieskolainen) Antononi; a son, Wayne J. Antononi and his wife Patricia of Gardner; a daughter, Cynthia L. Nygard and her husband John of Templeton; a brother, Elliot J. Antognoni of St. Petersburg, FL.; two sisters, Amelia T. Steves of Winchendon and Eva E. Dionne of Lansdowne, VA., six grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31st at 11 A.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 A.M. preceding the funeral service.
