Lawrence "Larry" Lundwall

Westminster

On the morning of January 28, 2024, Lawrence (Larry) K. Lundwall, 81 a wonderful husband, cousin, and friend passed away with his loving wife at his side. 

Larry was born in Gardner, MA, the son of the late Captain Gordon Lee and Ellen Lundwall. He lived most of his adult life in NYC where he met his wife, Sunny. 

Larry graduated from Gardner High School, Amherst College, and Bucknell University, then moved to NYC. While he was doing his PhD in Neuroscience at State University of NY, (SUNY), Larry worked as a psychologist, clinical assistant professor, and associate director of research at State University of NY, Kings County Hospital. 

Larry published many publications about Alcoholism and sleep research. 

Larry enjoyed his life to the fullest. He was genuinely kind, warm, caring, and had a fun-loving nature. 

He was an incredibly good listener always learning and endlessly researching many subjects. 

He traveled the world extensively, was an avid swimmer, and loved to play tennis until physically impossible to play. Larry was a voracious book reader and enjoyed writing about social and political issues, and sent them to editorial opinion sites of newspapers.

He leaves his wife Sunny, cousins; Carol Graves, Elizabeth Shepard, and her husband Guy, Ann Osterberg, Larry Osterberg and his wife Rose, David Mahan and his wife Linda and nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life will be held on a later day.
