Joseph L. Lupien

WINCHENDON - Joseph L. Lupien, 73, of 94 Linden Street, died Friday, October 28th in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, New York City, following an illness. He was born in Marlborough, MA. on February 15,1932, son of George C. and Priscilla I. (Caron) Lupien and had lived in Winchendon for most of his life. Joe was a graduate of Murdock High School with the class of 1952. He was plant manager at the former Patriot Industries before his retirement. He was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and enjoyed nature, fishing and metal detecting. His wife of 47 years, Carol E. (Rajaniemi) Lupien, died in 2002. Joe leaves four sons, Joseph L. Lupien, Jr. of Alexandria, NH, Cole A. Lupien of Templeton, Keith B. Lupien and Dana J. Lupien, both of Winchendon; two daughters, Tracey A. Dev of Colonia, NJ, with whom he stayed during his illness and Angela K. Whalen of Winchendon; a brother, R. Kenneth Lupien of Rindge, NH; two sisters, Aline P. Lafalam of Winchendon and Jeannette J. Brown of Ipswich, MA.; nine grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 4th from the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, November 3rd from 6-8 P.M.
