We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a truly remarkable man, Joseph E. DiMucci, affectionately known as Joe, on March 30th, 2026. Born on June 21, 1958, in Leominster, MA, Joseph spent his life embodying the virtues of hard work, dedication, and love for his community. He was a beacon of strength, resilience, and perseverance to all who knew him. His infectious love for sports, particularly running, was an inspiration to many. Joseph’s remarkable achievement of running the Boston Marathon for 26 consecutive years, a testament to his unwavering determination, is a legacy that will be carried on by the North Medford Running Club, where he was a revered member for over 35 years.

Joseph’s dedication was not only confined to the race track but also to the classroom. He served as a Vocational Instructor at the Fernald School before retiring in 2016, and was a Cross Country Track Coach at Narragansett Regional High School for many years, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many students. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Joseph was well-loved in his community of Templeton, Massachusetts, where he served as a volunteer firefighter for many years. Whether hiking, bicycling, or simply spending time with his family and friends, Joseph's zest for life shone bright.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anna, with whom he shared a beautiful life since their marriage on May 19th, 1979; his children, Joseph Jr, Jennifer Dimucci-Bateman, and Nicholas DiMucci; his cherished grandchildren, Madison, Dominic, Bryce, Elsie, and Elliot; and his brothers, James, John, and Jeff DiMucci, and a sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon DiMucci and Elsie Coffin, and his grandson, Jax.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 9:30 - 11:30 am at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 11:30 am at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, followed by burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Templeton, Massachusetts, at 12:30 pm.

Joseph's life was a testament to the power of persistence, love, and dedication. His spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
