Jill Renee Macarelli, born September 10, 1963, in Winchendon, Massachusetts, graced this world with her unwavering strength, sparkling humor, and the depth of her love for those who were fortunate to know her. She lived her life with a vivacity that was inspiring, making her a source of comfort in the lives of many. Jill led a life that was characterized by her deep commitment to her family, friends, and the community she served. A loving wife, she was married on June 24, 1989, and her marriage was a testament to the enduring power of love and companionship.
Jill dedicated her professional life to the field of mental health where she was known for her compassion, motivated to help those as she did her family. She served as the Director of Adult Mental Health Services at Open Sky Community Services before retiring, but her influence continued to resonate within the organization and the many lives she touched. Throughout her career, Jill achieved numerous career accolades, notably at The Bridge of Central MA and Open Sky, which served as testament to her dedication and passion. When she wasn't advocating for mental health, Jill reveled in the pleasures of life, from golfing to camping, from cooking to walking her beloved dog, Keke. Her love for travel was only surpassed by her love for spending time with her family and friends which was her greatest joy.
Jill is survived by her sons, Nate, Tyler, and Brock Macarelli; daughter-in-law, Amanda; step-son, Nicholas Macarelli; sister, Sherry Kiedaisch; brother-in-law, Christopher Kiedaisch, and nephew Nicholas Kiedaisch who she loved very much. She is preceded by her parents, Raymond and Lillian Clapp, sister, Lynn, and brother Keith. Jill's legacy is not just in the accomplishments she achieved, but in the lives she impacted, the laughter she provoked, and the love she shared.
We invite all who knew and loved Jill Macarelli to share their memories on memorial page. With these shared experiences we can all continue to celebrate Jill's life.
