WINCHENDON – Jeannette M. (Nalette) Helie, 70, of 710 Alger Street, Winchendon, died peacefully Friday evening, November 4th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, with her family at her side.

She was born in Winchendon on March 6, 1941, the daughter of the late Medric and Cecilia (Bibeau) Nalette, attended Winchendon schools and was a lifelong resident.

Jeannette worked for ten years as a bookkeeper for the Gardner Housing Authority until her retirement in September.  She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Baldwinville and was a former 4-H leader. Jeannette had received her GED.  She enjoyed camping and gardening but mostly treasured time with her family.

She leaves her husband of 51 years, Robert A. Helie; four children, Kathleen A. Helie of Auburn, Karon M. Heerdt and her husband Dana of Webster, Karla J. Ramsey and her husband Wayne of Winchendon and Keven R. Helie and his wife Meredith of Winchendon; four grandchildren, Nicole L. Heerdt, Zachry M. Ramsey, Nicholas J. Ramsey and Joshua J. Helie; one sister, Mary Rose Herbert of Gardner; two brothers, Fredric Nalette of Winchendon and Donald Nalette of Worcester and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8th from Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon.

Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, November 7th from 6 to 8 P.M.

The family wishes to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Janet Yardley and the nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit at Heywood Hospital.
