James J. Homon

WINCHENDON – James John “Jim” Homon, age 53, passed away Monday evening, July 18, 2022 at 9:10 P.M. after a long and courageous fight with cancer.  He was surrounded by his brother William, his sister in-law Diane, and his dear friend Amy Couture. Jim was lifetime resident of Winchendon Ma.    Jim was born at Henry Heyward Hospital in Gardner Ma on Thursday July 2, 1970 and attended Murdock High School.

In his early years Jim loved hunting and fishing. He gave up hunting but continued to fish his entire life. He also loved music. He loved attending live concerts and traveled to many venues to see shows.  After being diagnosed with cancer and learning his life was shortened, He took 4 trips to see the country. It helped him come to terms with mortality.

He worked interior construction for many years before becoming a store manager at Nouria Energy of Worcester.

Jim is predeceased by his older brother Edward J. Homon, his father Joseph A Homon, and his mother Lorraine (Pelkey) Homon.  He is survived by his other older brother William A. Homon and his wife Diane Prentice of Clinton. He also leaves 4 nieces. Krystal Homon and her husband Bryan Fratoni of Taftville Ct.   Christina Homon of Gardner Ma.  Shelby Homon of Winchendon Ma. and Ashleigh Homon-Rahall and her husband Patrick Rahall.

He also leaves one great niece, Naomi Theriault, and two great nephews, Zachary Theriault of Gardner, and Alexander (Xander) Fratoni of Taftville Ct.

James wishes for a cremation will be filled. A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
