Jack Arnold Lucas, born on December 24, 1938, in Gardner, MA, USA, passed away on February 22, 2026. Jack resided in Templeton, Massachusetts, and was a dedicated husband and father. He was a devoted servant to his country, having served honorably in the United States Air Force for 33 years. He entered the Air Force on November 20, 1956, and was honorably discharged on December 23, 1998. Jack's commitment to his duty was evident in his lifelong service to his nation, which was recognized and appreciated by all who knew him.
In addition to his notable military career, Jack had a deep passion for fixing cars and model airplanes. His artistic talent found expression through the several flag murals he painted at Westover Air Force Base. These hobbies not only provided Jack with joy and satisfaction but also brought happiness to those who shared his interests. He is survived by his wife, Barbara K. Lucas, his children Mark (Virginia) Lucas, Linda (Jeff) Glasscock, and Christopher (Marilou) Dawson. He is also survived by his sister, Marsha Stillings. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Edris Lucas, his son Matthew Dawson, and his sister Barbara Diamond.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA
