Phillipston-Humphrey Chadbourne, III, 91, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at his home after an illness.
He was the husband of 62 years to the late Beverly Fay (LaRose) Chadbourne.
He leaves two sons, Humphrey "Butch" Chadbourne, IV, and his wife Veronica, and William Chadbourne all of Phillipston: one daughter, Valinda Kwasny, and her husband Thomas of Moosup, CT; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a brother, David "Wayne" Chadbourne, and his wife Jodi of Tustin, CA.
He is predeceased by a daughter, Vanessa Bretton.
Humphrey was born in Brownsville Junction, ME on July 7, 1932, a son of the late Humphrey II, and Helen (Dean) Chadbourne. He attended Lynn High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated Humphrey Chadbourne Electrical for many years, and later was Plant Manager at C.R. Bard.
He loved spending time with his family, hearing about his grandchildren's antics, and attending their events. He enjoyed working on projects around the house, woodworking in his tool shop, and fishing. He and his wife traveled the contiguous United States, as well as Alaska and much of Canada; they also took several ski trips to Europe. He looked forward to his weekly phone calls from his brother Wayne. He liked watching all types of sports and yelling at the TV.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His funeral services and burial will be private.
