It is with heartfelt sadness and deep respect that we bid farewell to Georgia M. Thompson, who graced our lives with her loving spirit for 76 years. Born in Gardner, MA, on May 20, 1948, Georgia was a radiant beacon of love, creativity, and intelligence. She departed from us on October 9, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and a life lived with purpose and passion. She was a 1968 graduate of Narragansett Regional High School.
Georgia was a spirited individual she worked as a CNA for many years for Catholic Charities. Known to be a smart woman with a loving heart, Georgia loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren, with whom she shared her wisdom and love. She was also a passionate Red Sox fan and found joy in watching Hallmark movies, her spirit alive in the simple pleasures of life.
Georgia leaves behind a loving family that cherishes her memory. She is survived by her devoted husband, George Thompson, her caring children, Tina Kukla and William Thompson(Faye Thompson), Jacob Thompson (Emma Thompson), her brother, Joseph Collier, her supportive brother-in-law, Clifford Thompson, and her beloved grandchildren - Jacob, Jacy, Samantha, Jesselynn, Lindsey, and Callenia. She was also blessed with several great-grandchildren, whom she adored. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Jennie Collier, and her brother Fred Dembeck. Each of them holds precious memories of Georgia that will continue to inspire and guide their lives.
As we remember Georgia, let us recall the verse from Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." In this time of grief, we take comfort in the knowledge that Georgia lived a life filled with love, creativity, and spirit.
The family invites all who knew Georgia to share their memories and upload photos on her memorial page. We look forward to celebrating her life and cherishing the legacy she leaves behind.
