Elizabeth "Betty" Laprise, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, at the age of 95, with her daughters by her side. Known for her strength, warmth, and kindness, Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy rooted in love, generosity, and unwavering support for those around her.

  Elizabeth was a devoted wife for 40 years to her late husband and a caring and supportive mother to her 5 children - Jean, Allen, Kathy, Christine, and Paul. She was steadfast in her commitment, always putting her children first and dedicating her life to the well-being of her family. A nurturing figure, she ensured her children felt loved and supported. Her nine grandchildren brought her immense pride and joy, and she cherished the time she spent with them.

A women of quiet strength and resilience, Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy filled with kindness and compassion. Her family will forever carry her memory, remembering her unwavering love and commitment to those she held dear. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains in the hearts of those who loved her.

Born in Troy, New Hampshire on March 16, 1929 and resided in Winchendon for 90+ years, prior to moving to Townsend, MA to live with her daughter Christine and son-in-law Ray.

Survived by her children, Jean J. Laprise Sr. and his wife Susan of Winchendon, Katharine Wall of Kennebunk ME, Christine Roy and her husband Raymond of Townsend MA, Paul Laprise of Winchendon; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her sister June Girouard, brother James Plante; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Helen Plante, her beloved husband, Jean B. Laprise Jr., her son Allen Laprise, her grandson Matthew Roy and her son-in-law Dennis B. Wall.

At the family's request, funeral services will be private. 

The family wishes to thank the nursing and hospice staff at Care Central VNA & Hospice for their attentive and loving care.
