GARDNER – Douglas S. Adamson, 53, of 514 West Street, died peacefully Saturday afternoon, September 24th, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Gardner on September 15, 1958, the son of the late Warren I. and Annette M. (Dion) Adamson, attended Gardner High School and was a lifelong resident of Gardner.

Doug worked for the last 18 months as assistant sales manager at Salvadore Chevrolet. He previously worked for 30 years at Simplex Time Recorder Co. Doug loved cars and also his pugs. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. For many years, he played the keyboard for a local band “Suite Revenge.” His greatest enjoyment was his family.

He leaves his wife of 34 years, Marie L. (Richard) Adamson; two daughters Sabrena L. Sawyer of Leominster and Lisa M. Durrett and her husband Kraig of Winchendon; three grandchildren, Kimberly Adamson, Keianna Durrett and Elijah Durrett; one niece, Kristine Teto and one nephew, Mark W. Adamson Jr., both of Gardner. A brother, Mark W. Adamson, died in 2010.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 28 th at 10 A.M. in Bethany Baptist Church, 72 Ryan Street. The Rev. Dan Meiners will officiate.

Calling hours in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon are Tuesday, September 27 th from 6 to 8 P.M.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 72 Ryan Street, Gardner, MA. 01440.

A Memorial Benefit will be held October 14 th from 7 to 11 P.M. in the Knights of Columbus, 110 South Main Street, Gardner.
