Donald R. Pervier, 62, died Friday, March 20, 2026, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
Don was a lifelong resident of Templeton, a 1981graduate of Narragansett Regional High School. He was born on September 9, 1963, in Gardner, a son of the late Richard E.R. and Janet (Batchelor) Pervier.
Don worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator his entire life. He worked for the Templeton Water Department and for the last 30 years for Mark Dymek Builder and Contractor, and also worked for several other contractors over the years on weekends. Don was a former volunteer firefighter for the town of Templeton.
He was an avid sportsman. Don was a member of the Ridgely Country Club, the Templeton Fish and Game, and the Otter River Sportsmen's Club, all for over 40 years. At the Otter River Sportsmen's Club, he served on the Board of Directors for several terms and on the club rebuilding committee when the club burned down. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Don especially enjoyed going on vacation with family, ice fishing with family, nephews, and friends, and trips to Lake Champlain with his son, grandson, and nephews. One of his favorite times of the year was the fall, watching his grandson play football or sitting in his tree stand with his bow, enjoying nature and the occasional deer. Hunting deer with his good buddies from Hubbardston, Gardner, Barre, and Hardwick. He enjoyed playing golf on weekends with Kevin, Al, and Bob, and the Monday evening league for the sportsmen's club with John, Tim, and Chuck.
Don is survived by his wife of 40 years, celebrating it on February 23, 2026, to Kathy (Bickford) Pervier, one son, Brandon L. Pervier, and his wife Jessica, two grandsons, Darrien Pervier and Kyler Nickson, two sisters, Sandra Jaillet and her husband Joseph, and Nancy Heglin, one brother, Richard H. Pervier and his wife Sheila, and sereral nieces and nephews.
Don asks for donations to be made to the Blood Cancer United, and to also please donate Blood and Platelets at your local blood bank.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton, at 10:00 am on Friday, March 27, 2026
A celebration of Don's life will be held on April 11, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm, at the Otter River Sportsmens Club, 250 Lord Road, Baldwinville, MA 01468.
