With sorrow, we announce the passing of Donald Francis Gravel, who left us on January 19, 2026, just short of his 85th birthday. Born in Winchendon, MA, on January 28, 1941, to the late George and Evelyn Gravel, Donald was an individual of great strength and character. He resided in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, where he lived a full and happy life. He was an accomplished woodworker in the furniture manufacturing business until his retirement, and his love for his craft extended into his personal life as one of his cherished hobbies.
Donald was a man who loved the outdoors, often found fishing or hosting cookouts for his family. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored. Donald leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Gravel; his children, Donald Jr., Donna (Mike) Devlin, and Tammy (Lee) Mangos; his grandchildren, Frankie Martin, Kevin Martin, Christine Devlin, Nathan Devlin, Amber Donlon, and Erin Mayer; several great-grandchildren, his siblings, Richard Gravel and Mary Grant, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by one sister and four brothers.
We remember Donald as a devoted family man, a skilled craftsman, and a lover of life. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Donald's life will be private at a later date. We invite friends and family to visit the memorial page, where you can share memories and upload photos in honor of Donald's life.
Funeral services will be private.
