Diane Jolene LaFortune

Diane Jolene LaFortune (née Hill), of Winchendon, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at the age of 69.

Born on December 9, 1955, Diane was known for the joy she brought to those around her. She had a deep love for her “furbabies,” especially her beloved Shih Tzus. She was preceded in passing by her cherished Fancy and is survived by her devoted companion, Skippy.

For many years, Diane worked at Aging Services of North Central Massachusetts, where she made a meaningful difference in the lives of others. After retiring, she embraced the time to be with family and friends while relaxing in the comfort of her favorite vacation destination - her home.

Diane especially enjoyed hosting family gatherings during the holidays, where loved ones would come together to share laughter and stories. A lifelong fan of country music and Neil Diamond, her favorite songs were often playing in the background, adding warmth to every occasion.

She is survived by her life partner, Robert Richard; her sons, Timothy and Benjamin LaFortune; her mother, Helene Hill; her brothers, John “Joey” Jr. and James Hill; her sister, Jeannie Ladeau; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her father, John Joseph Hill Sr.

Diane will be remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, strength, and resilience.
