David L. Proulx October 10, 1932 - June 28, 2026
GARDNER – David L. Proulx, 93, died peacefully Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Henry Heywood Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in South Royalston on October 10, 1932, the son of the late Louis and Hilda (Syria) Proulx.All his life, he was devoted to his family, proudly raising six children.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy stationed in South Carolina. His career spanned over 40 years as an Operating Engineer for Boston Local 4. He was a volunteer firefighter, a Mason, American Legion member. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, winning many trophies and holding the jump record for a time at the Gardner Winter Carnival at 63 feet.
He is survived by his children, David Proulx Jr. (Karen), Donna Gauvin (Chris) Anna Enright, Gale Landry (Henry Lantagne), James Proulx (Tamra), and Susan Anderson (Mark), 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.He was predeceased by his wife of 69 years Elsie (Cosentino) and 5 siblings.

Services to be held on July 24th, 11AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce St., Winchendon, Mass. followed by the Rite of Committal at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2PM, 111 Glenwood St, Winchendon.
Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home is directing arrangements.
