Da-lung Hui

With a spirit as vibrant and uncontainable as the sea he once sailed, we honor the life of Da-lung Hui, known affectionately to many as Arthur. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 24, 1976, Da-lung's charisma and courage were evident from his earliest days. His journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on October 10, 2026, in Winchendon, Massachusetts, his beloved home.

Da-lung's life was a testament to his generous and loving nature. His service in the U.S Navy, retiring in 2000, demonstrated his bravery and commitment to his country. The courage he displayed in uniform was matched only by the warmth and love he gave to those around him. After retirement, Da-lung continued to serve his community. His generosity was legendary, especially his regular contributions to the MSPCA, reflecting his profound care for animals.

Da-lung's family and friends were the anchors in his life, and his love for them was boundless. He is survived by his sister Yu-lung Hui, brother-in-law Chim K, his uncle Henry, and nieces Valeria and Allison. Da-lung was preceded in death by his parents, Ka-Ming and Sally Hui, and his grandmother Kathryn DiGiacomo. To quote the writer A.A. Milne, "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard". Indeed, we were all lucky to have known Da-lung.

We invite you to share your memories and photos of Da-lung on his memorial page. Each story and picture provides a chance to remember and celebrate the charismatic, courageous, generous, and loving man that Da-lung was.
