Claudia L. Boynton

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Claudia Louise (Ringuette) Boynton, who passed away peacefully after a long illness on August 31, 2026, at Alliance Health at Baldwinville.

 Born on May 26, 1944, to the late Claude and Edna (LaJoie) Ringuette, Claudia lived her life surrounded by the many beautiful things she loved. She was married for 56 years to her high school sweetheart, the late W. Reed Boynton, who passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2022. 

Claudia graduated from Narragansett Regional High School in 1962 and went on to study dressmaking and design at the David Hale Fashion Trade School in Worcester. She took great pride and pleasure in making her own wedding gown, as well as many other gowns, sports jackets, and most of her own clothing. 

She enjoyed cake decorating, crafts, floral design, crocheting, embroidery, and painting. Claudia and Reed traveled across the country, proudly visiting 34 National Parks, and vacationed in Hawaii and Belgium. Both shared a passion for photography, capturing many beautiful photographs during their travels. Claudia was also a member of the Red Hat Society and thoroughly enjoyed social gatherings with the group. She and Reed loved dining out, especially at the Outback Steakhouse. 

Claudia was a collector of beautiful Swarovski crystals, paperweights, and Precious Moments figurines. She loved shopping, especially at gift stores. Above all, she loved her family dearly and was exceptionally proud of her daughter and grandson. A light went out in her life after the sudden loss of her beloved Reed, after which her health declined.

 Claudia will be dearly missed by her daughter, Crystal, and her husband, Jay Boucher, of Gardner; and her grandson, Max Boucher of Boston. She also leaves behind her “favorite brother", Louis Ringuette, and his wife, Sharon, of Gardner; her sister-in-law, Linda Glancey, and her husband, Leon Gaidanowicz of Hubbardston; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Beacon Hospice and their nurses, and to the entire staff at Alliance Health at Baldwinville, with special appreciation for Claudia’s nurses: Katie, Mia, Abby, Ann, Bernard, and Calvin.

Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon, MA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon, MA with the burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery, West St., Gardner, MA.
