Charlotte S. (Spaulding) Pokki

She was born in Gardner on October 19, 1928, the daughter of the late William and Helen (Hawkes) Spaulding and was a lifelong resident of Templeton.
Charlotte graduated from the former Templeton High School and worked for 29 ½ years as a payroll clerk at the former Conant Ball Co. She then worked for 14 years as a bank teller for Baldwinville Cooperative Bank until her retirement.
She was a member of First Church of Templeton, where she had served as a deacon. Charlotte had been a volunteer at Baldwinville Nursing Home. She enjoyed socializing with her friends at Phoenix Court and the Council on Aging. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends.
Her husband, Aaron E. Pokki, died in 1976. She leaves three daughters, Adrian A. Morgan and her husband Michael of Templeton, Joyce Grucan and her husband Robert of Baldwinville and Myla Clifford of Athol; one sister, Eleanor Kane of Frankfurt, MI; six grandchildren, Emily Morgan of Dudley, MA, Ian Morgan of NYC, NY, Jill Grucan of Miami, FL, Timothy Clifford of Athol, Alex Pokki of Durham, NC and Erika Pokki of Charlotte, NC; two great grandchildren, Mikel Clifford and Matthieu Clifford of Athol, as well as nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, Charlotte was predeceased by a son, Aaron E. Pokki Jr, and her sister, Elva McNeill.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 5th at 11 A.M. in First Church of Templeton, Templeton Common. The Rev. William Ault will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton at a later date.
