Carolyn W. (Bourque) Fay

Bernardston-Carolyn W. (Bourque) Fay, 84, died Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield after an illness.

She leaves her three sons, Bruce Hietala and his wife Barbara of Winchendon, Craig Hietala and his wife Bernadette of Fitzwilliam, NH, and Glenn Belliveau and his partner Brandi Manca of Athol, six grandchildren, Michael, Alison, Mitchel, Eliesa, Madeline and Nina; several great-grandchildren; one brother Michael Bourque of AZ, and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was born in Fitchburg on December 25, 1938 a daughter of the late Edmond and Irene (L’Abbe) Bourque. She attended schools in Lunenburg. She worked as a waitress for Friendly's in Gardner and in Greenfield for 30 years.
She was a member of the Bernardston Senior Center, and St. Patrick's Church in Northfield. She enjoyed gardening, her Koi Fish, playing word games, especially Scrabble. Most importantly was her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be private.
