Carol A Zalewski

Carol A. Zalewski, born on July 1, 1956, in the town of Winchendon, MA, left this world on December 24, 2025. Carol lived life on her own terms; she always made her own decisions independently. Her love for adventure was evident in her youth when she hitchhiked across the country, from Massachusetts to Oregon and back. Carol loved traveling to Aruba for many years with her parents. Carol found joy in the simple things; she was captivated by owls and collected everything owl. In her youth, she loved cycling, gravestone rubbing, and crafts. She had a huge interest in languages. She was a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.

Carol was a graduate of Narragansett Regional High School Class of 1974, and Mount Wachusett Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Studies and Foreign Languages. She also attended Northeastern University.

In her younger life, Carol worked at The Mohawk Drive In, Rich’s, Temple Stuart’s, and Stanley’s Taxi.

Carol was a beacon of kindness, always extending a helping hand to those around her. Carol's independent spirit, generous nature, and warm smile will be remembered forever.

Carol loved her family. She was a cherished daughter, a beloved sister, and a loving aunt. She is survived by her father, Alexander Zalewski of Baldwinville, MA, her brother Peter Zalewski of Gardner, MA, her sister Elizabeth Zalewski of Baldwinville, MA, Susan (Martin) Fritz, and her nephew, Julian Fritz, of Orlando, FL. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Zalewski, and her siblings, Steven Zalewski and Catherine Zalewski. She leaves behind many cousins and aunts.

There will be a calling hour held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 - 11:00 am, at the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, located at 343 Central Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, 01475. This will be followed by a graveside service on the same day at 11:30 am at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Bridge Street, Baldwinville, Massachusetts.
